Frequently Asked Questions

All items are hand built from start to finish in my ceramics studio in Cyprus (in EU). 

Yes our products are shipped worldwide. Please note Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may be implemented. We are not responsible for delays due to customs.

UK & EU countries - 7 working days approximately

USA, Canada, Australia & non-EU countries - 14 to 21 working days approximately

All parcels are sent via First priority tracked service to your door. Tracking is available on all international destinations.

Baker M.Design is not responsible for delays caused by customs, strikes and workload during peak season (Christmas period and bank holidays)

Baker M.Design recommends washing your items gently by hand and drying them with a towel by hand. The bottom of the mug is fired but not glazed. If there is residue on the bottom such as coffee, tea, oil, rinse it right away to prevent any staining. Your item is a work of art and needs to be treated so. 

All our products are suitable for everyday use and can be safely used to drink from. Baker M.Design uses strong white clay which is glazed with food safe glazes and are waterproof. Each ceramic piece is microwave and dishwasher safe, however for the longevity of your item it is best not to.

Limited availability of custom orders is now available. Please read carefully all the description caption regarding the process and time taken to be completed. Do not hesitate to message us on Instagram @baker.design for more info and any questions you may have. 

Custom mugs take approximately 2 months to be created per mug (delivery excluded).

CUSTOM MUG PROCESS:

1. Message me on Instagram (@baker.mdesign) with the details on how you would like your mug

2. I will then let you know IF it is feasible  (due to the handmade nature of the products)

3. You can then proceed with ordering your mug

4. I will send you a photo of a rough sketch of how your mug will look to visualize it and to avoid any misunderstandings.

All mugs are made by hand by me, hand painted and hand glazed. Obviously when you order, there are other orders before you so please be patient. Each mug takes 5-8 weeks to be finalized approximately, so keep that in mind in ordering in advance (delivery excluded - please read the FAQ delivery section for more info). 

Photos of other artist's work will NOT be accepted for inspiration. Bear in mind that due to the nature of all the mugs being hand built by me (no moulds are used), each one is unique and could vary in size and shape . Usual mug size varies between 8-11cm height and width - 300/350ml approx. 

Details I'll need to know to create your mug:

- Right-handed or left-handed?

- Design?

- Writing? Upper case or lower case letters?

- Positioning of writing? Outside of the mug? Inner rim? Bottom of the mug?

- Colours?

- (If it's a 3D custom mug - which 3D detail would you like & where?

Not at the moment, as each item is hand built and hand painted which takes lots of time and effort to create. Baker M.Design is a one-woman show, so from creating the pieces, painting & glazing, social media, to responding to your messages, packing orders, accounts, going to the post office and managing this small business is all done by me. 

We do not offer returns or exchanges if the buyer has changed their mind. To avoid any surprises, please check carefully the product size and photos before purchasing one of the pieces (colours of products may appear differently in photos). Bear in mind all items are made by hand so no two are the same, that is what adds to its charm. 

 Baker M.Design is not responsible for lost or stolen packages that are confirmed to be delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer. Also, we are not responsible for orders that are delivered incorrectly or lost due to incorrect shipping address provided by the customer at checkout.  

In the unlikely event that your order arrives broken/damaged please send me pictures of the damaged product via Instagram within 3 days of receiving your parcel. We will then reach out to you to discuss your item being refunded or replaced. Please understand taxes and import duties are not included in the refund.

If your item can be replaced but no other is available in the time being, it will be remade, so you will not receive a refund and it may take 4-8 weeks (depending on workload) for your order to be ready.

Baker M.Design uses eco-friendly bubble wrap to protect the items whilst being delivered in a recyclable cardboard box to ensure a safe journey to you. We would love if you re-use all packaging received.
